Freddy's Antics - 2015 Version

In 2013, I started a new tradition with my boss, only  he doesn't know it is me (at least I don't think he knows it is me) - My boss, Michael, has he own personal Elf on the Shelf, named Freddy!

I posted all of Freddy's antics back in 2013.  However, last year...well...let's just say it was an awful time last Christmas - I was out on Family Medical Leave and I didn't get to help Freddy with his adventures (Luckily my awesome friend and co-worker took over for me so my boss still had his daily elf visits).

I was a little hesitant to let Freddy return this year for various reasons but my co-workers thought that he was ready to come back and have some Christmas fun.

So...here is what Freddy has been up to so far this month.

December 1 - He came back into town so he just made his presence known.

December 2nd - Freddy must be a fan of Jack Nicholson and/or Stephen King because he decided to recreate a famous scene from the movie, "The Shining

 

December 3rd - Freddy loves magnetic games - I guess because of his magnetic personality

 

December 4th - Silly Freddy - playing with a novelty push pin toy

December 7th - It's Monday - guess Freddy had some extra time over the weekend and made Michael some Elf-sized cookies

 

December 8th - Nothing like a good sip of fresh Orange Juice to give a busy elf some energy!

December 9th - Playdoh is fun!  Freddy loves to make Christmas Trees with Playdoh.

December 10th - What is this?  Freddy had some Team Elves join him for a friend came of Elf Football.  

December 11th - One of Freddy's elf friends, Teddy from Tennessee, decided to stick around a extra day.  He must love games - yesterday was football and today is Twister!!

December 14th - Look at this!!  I guess Freddy had such a nice time riding his bike in this nice weather over the weekend that he decided just to ride it on into the office Monday morning.

December 15th - Hmmmm - Freddy told me I should have taken a picture of him with one of Michael's favorite candies - Junior  Mints, but I forgot.  Michael left a note next to Freddy to explain what happened to them.

December 16th - Colorful Elf Jacks

December 17th - Freddy had a BLAST at the J. A. G. (Joyner Art Gallery) - He saw so many famous paintings...

Freddy's Antics - Day 15

Monday will be the last day - Freddy is about to say bye-bye soon.  The last day he is going to leave a note and not really do any pranks so today was the last day Freddy will be "doing something".

I thought that it would be a good idea to have Freddy be reading the story of the birth of Jesus to his little friends.  That is what Christmas is all about, after all.  M.J. is religious and it seems everyone in our office is so ... I don't think it will "offend" anyone to share the true reason for the season.

 

Freddy's Antics - Day 14

Okay - I think this one my be my favorite so far....Freddy and Friends are having their first annual "fictional character" sack race.

Looks like Freddy is in the lead....

 

They even have some friends to cheer them on

Freddy's Antics - Day 13

M.J.  really seemed to like the light display yesterday.  It looks like Freddy could use a little help today, he stumbled into Jurassic Park !!

Freddy's Antics - Day 12

Freddy decided it was time to decorate M.J.'s office a little bit.

He strung lights on his computer monitor, put up a couple of Christmas Trees, left a Penguin Door Hanger on his door knob.  He also decided that M.J. might like a box of candy and a candy cane pen so he left that too.

Freddy's Antics - Day 11

In case you were wondering....Freddy was still up to his tricks last week but since I was in Nashville, TN (more on that another time) - someone else in the office helped Freddy set up his pranks.  I am working on obtaining photos (not sure they were taken each day) and will post those if they become available. 

In the meantime...Here is what he was up to today.

Freddy's Antics - Day 7

Freddy is getting a bit more adventurous and even had his pal Peter Pan join him for Zip Lining today  -  it only cost $5.00 to take a ride. 

Freddy's Antics - Day 6

Freddy is back for another week - I am sure M.J. was secretly hoping he forgot to come back over the weekend. 

M J made a remark that he was a bit worried he might look out his window at home and see the elf running through his yard.  Ha Ha !

Today he is spending his day fishing.

Freddy's Antics - Day 5

M J is not a big sweet eater but he likes 2 things - Yorkshire Peppermint Patties and Hershey Kisses. 
But ..... it appears that Freddy likes Hershey Kisses too, he broke into the bag and left them all over M J's desk.

Freddy's Antics - Day 4

Boy, that little Freddy is sneaky...last night he got in M J's office and added mustaches to all the photos.  He even left a new frame (which looks like he colored himself), with a photo of M J, who also now has a mustache. 

Freddy's Antics - Day 3

Freddy is still up to his pranks.  Today he made a Christmas Tree entirely out of Post-It Notes and posted it over the couch in my boss' office.  He even topped it with a star.  You know it was him because he was caught in the act.

Freddy's Antics - Day 2

Since we are Accountants, of course Freddy had to get tangled up in some calculator tape.

I see that my boss left added a little note on Freddy that said "Someone help me, I am being retained against my will" - glad to see that he is getting into the spirit of Freddy's pranks.

Freddy Arrives - For My Boss

I don't have any small kids at home but I thought it would be fun to do Elf on the Shelf this year for someone...but who???

Well, we are a bunch of pranksters at my office so I thought - who can I do this to that would appreciate it ?  MY BOSS of course - he has a great sense of humor.

So...he was out the office Wednesday, 11/27 and so was I.  I was going to be out of the office Monday 12/02 but HE wasn't so I had to set up "Freddy" the Tuesday evening before Thanksgiving so that when my boss ( here on referred to as M J ) would see him first think Monday Morning.

So..here is what he saw when he came to work today.  The letter just explains that his name is Freddy The Elf and that he will be watching M J until Christmas and reporting back to Santa each night.  The only rule - you can't touch Freddy (name chosen due to my boss' middle name of Fredrick).  Elves have sensitive skin so no touchy !!!

I wish I could have seen his face when he saw Freddy - he doesn't know I'm the trickster - I think I am the last person he would suspect - haha.
