Utah - Day 2

I don't have a lot of photos from today but look at what we woke up to! Most of the day was spent in the Script Reading of "Osmonds - the Musical"

Since the play was cancelled, Jay did a script reading of it.  People could enter raffles to win a part on who to play, but I didn't want to do that...I just wanted to enjoy the reading.  Unfortunately, our phones were not allowed, and we had to put them in a secure bag, that we sealed and kept ourselves.  If we went out of the room, we had to show the sealed bag, or get a new one and seal it back up.  I didn't mind because I got to hear the whole play!

Bonus: Ryan Anderson, who played Merrill in the musical in the U.K. came to the get together and of course, he played Merrill's part.  Jay and Ryan had some inside information about the play and behind the scene things, which was extra special.

This is Ryan and Karen, Jay's wife

While we didn't get to use our phones during the reading, there was one photographer, Judy Taylor, who knows EVERYTHING about the Osmonds and I mean she is like a savant, she remembers dates when certain concerts were, dates when they played in Las Vegas or appeared on a TV show and every member of the Osmond family's birthdays, including the grandchildren..its amazing and a little unusual that she knows so much...but she was the official photographer for the event.

We didn't eat breakfast, we just right into the reading first thing and that lasted until about 4 pm, with a short break for lunch.  We walked to a cute French Bakery around the corner.  Susan and I split a Turkey & Cheese Croissant and a Blueberry Croissant for dessert.  Both were good.

After lunch we returned for the rest of the reading and there was a raffle for people that wanted to sing Osmond songs and several people did that.

This is Eva, 21 years old and a HUGE Osmond fan, especially Jay, who is her favorite.  She was so cute and she sat with us at our table the next day with her mom.

These are friends we made at the Get-Together, more on them tomorrow.

This is Tracy Pearson, she's from Nashville and was there with her husband, another Osmond Fan

This is Gina Wolff, a longtime fan, who has been to LOTS of Donny's shows in Las Vegas and she went to more after the weekend was over.

The day wasn't over until 9 pm and we were tired, but hungry, since all we had the entire day was to split 2 croissants and they were not very filling.

So...afterwards, Susan and I went driving around Provo and found Burgers Supreme.  Man, oh man! I guess this was the PLACE to go in Provo.  It was PACKED and they were making burgers faster than anybody ever saw!  I wonder how many they sell in a day - wow! The drive thru was also packed.  I've never seen so many people coming and going.  They had burgers, hot dogs, cheesesteaks, fish, chicken, ice cream, shakes and all kinds of stuff.

Susan got a Burger and I got a Chili Dog and we split an order of Fries.
Of course they included Utah's Fry Sauce.  I mean a trip wouldn't be complete with Fry Sauce.

I think we got to bed about midnight and we were tired, but we were happy.
